folhear a Charivari #2

watch in high quality

This is the second issue of Charivari, an independent publication made by twelve illustrators from Brazil.
With a print run of 500, is composed by twelve sheets made of various sorts of paper, printed in two-colour silk-screen (black and white), totalizing four pages for each artist. The order of drawings vary according to the copy, once the binding was conceived for allowing this flexibility.
The magazine is a medium for experimentation in drawing language. Charivari #1 measured 15,5 x 20,5 cm, and was also printed in two-colour silk-screen (black and red), with "Circus and Sex" chosen as theme. In Brazilian Portuguese, the word Charivari means not only a noisy event, but also a circus presentation where all artists introduce the best of their show.
The distribution of Charivari #2 is now in course, through donations to institutions and people who demonstrate some conexion with this kind of artwork. The list of institutions which will receive it will soon be published in the blog.
